A YOUNG girl from Newton Abbot has gained a place at a highly prestigious performing arts school and her family seeks sponsorship to help cover the tuition fees.

Mia Doherty, aged 11, has just gained a place at the Tring Park Performing Arts School in Hertfordshire which specialises in dance.

However, the annual fees for a boarding place come in at £33,000 per year

Mother Claire Doherty said: ‘She is a very determined and talented girl and attending this school would be a dream come true, we need a grant or sponsorship for her to be able to accept the place she has been offered.’
