BUCKFASTLEIGH resident Edith Ottaway has had a lot to dance about recently.
Friends and family, including fellow residents from Redmount Residential Home in Buckfastleigh, gathered at the Dartmoor Lodge Hotel for a cream tea buffet and live music to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Grandson Daniel whisked Edith, known as Edie, for a twirl on the dance floor, to the delight of the party.
Her family had also arranged for Edie to receive her telegram from the Queen, which will stand in pride of place in her room alongside a painting of her pub The New Inn in Long Ditton, Surrey, which she ran for many years before moving to Bovey Tracey.
Edie still regularly gets up for a dance whenever there is live music and practises Tai Chi on a weekly basis.
