You were kind enough to run an article of the removal of the postbox in Old Totnes Road over six months ago when the lampposts were replaced yet again.

The consequence was that the Post Office said it would have to reapply for planning permission to reinstall the postbox. A neighbour was informed by the Post Office that the postbox would be not replaced because of the complaint to the newspaper.

As the nearest postbox is almost in town this has led to much hardship by the people in the vicinity of Old Totnes Road.

Perhaps the Post Office would like to reconsider its decision or will writing again to our local newspaper prevent that.
