STOP scrolling… Dawlish firefighters are warning people they run the risk of starting a fire if the use their phone while cooking pancakes.
On their Facebok page they say: ‘If you’re cooking pancakes (or anything else) right now, stop and put your phone down!
'Being distracted while cooking is one of the main causes of fires in the kitchen.
‘Keep your eyes on your cooking and have a flipping safe pancake day.
‘We can’t find any records of fires in Devon and Somerset where pancakes were involved so please don’t be the first!
‘Have a safe and filling Shrove Tuesday.
