It may be cold outside, but things were hotting up at Paul Drury's Black Belt Academy, Dawlish, at the weekend, when 13 of its members took the next step towards black belt.

Students were put through their paces with fitness tests, basic and advanced drills, sparring and patterns, as well as questions on the traditions and history of tae kwon do.

Assisting Drury at the testing were five of the academy's black belts, and Drury thanked them for their help and support.

Drury is a registered BCKMA grading examiner and all grades are registered with the British Council for Korean Martial Arts and the World IL Do KwanFederation.
