POLICE investigating the murder of 73-year-old Kingsteignton pensioner Peter Freeman on Sunday night revealed this afternoon (June 13) that the 42-year-old local man found dead in a car the following day was Owen Chandler.
Detectives said Mr Chandler, whose death in the Labrador Bay area towards Shaldon is not being treated as suspicious, was known to the murder victim.
They have revealed that no one else is being sought in connection with the fatal stabbing of Mr Freeman in Chockland Road over the weekend.
A police spokesman said: ‘A file will be prepared for the coroner and the matter will now be progressed by them in relation to the official cause of the two deaths.’
