A TEIGNBRIDGE library starting a free 'stay and play' session for children and their carers is calling for help to grow its toy collection.

Newton Abbot Library is hoping to launch the new session in July.

A spokesman for Newton Abbot Library said: 'If you are having a clear out, consider dropping off your little one's unwanted toys at the library.

'To help us grow our toy collection, we would really appreciate donations of toys (wooden or plastic) that are safe and suitable for small children.'

Suitable toys include: cars, trains, trucks, animals, fantasy creatures, dinosaurs, kitchen sets, toy food and tea sets.

'Thank you for your support, feedback, and all the enthusiasm shown so far for the new play session' the spokesman added.
