Steffan Jones and Chris Bradley each weighed in with three wickets as Bovey Tracey beat Plympton by 94 runs, but only after a bit of a struggle.

Bovey's total of 243-8 – Farhaan Behardien top scoring on 76 – always looked enough to be competitive, with Longstreet (33) and Ayres (25) helping the score along.

Plympton limped to 28-4 under early pressure from Somerset paceman Jones and were 80-8 when Craig Donohue went out to join Nas Hussain.

A stand of 58 for the ninth wicket might not seem a lot, but it was nearly enough to earn Plympton a draw.

It didn't. Andy Fairbairn and Ryan Bougard took a wicket each to knock over the tail-enders, leaving Hussain stranded on 68 not out with three overs to go.
