ENTRIES have opened for this year’s Shopmobility Challenge in Newton Abbot town centre.

The event, organised by the town’s Community Transport Association, gives people a chance to see what life is like for a scooter user.

Participants spend 45 minutes travelling around discovering just how scooter-friendly Newton Abbot is.

Riders also have to collect a string of different items from shops and answer several questions.

Businesses are being encouraged to nominate a member of staff to take part in the ninth instalment of the event on Wednesday.
