A TEENAGER suffered multiple cuts to his body after falling through a toughened plate glass window in Newton Abbot town centre.
The 16-year-old casualty had just been ordered to leave the Change Academy premises in Market Street when the drama unfolded on Tuesday afternoon.
Staff at the charity centre, which deals with youth issues, were able to comfort the badly injured youngster from Teignmouth before he was rushed by ambulance to Torbay Hospital.
The casualty, who suffered particularly nasty cuts to his chest and leg, is thought to have fallen against smashed glass after lunging at the window shortly after he and another youth were ejected from a ‘personal development’ course.
