A PENSIONER wants to thank the ’special’ people who helped him after he had an accident on his bike.

Alex Morrison, from Ogwell, particularly wants to thank the two Teignbridge District Council workers who went ’above and beyond’ and delivered his bike to his home while he was being treated for his injuries.

The 70-year-old told the Mid-Devon Advertiser: ’ Last Friday morning I came off my bike (probably due to black ice) at the junction of Coach Road and Forde Park.

’This resulted in a small bleed to my brain which, caused total lack of memory leading up to and during the incident.

’When I came around it became very clear that a number of people, paramedics and police were all there helping.

’I just want to say a big thank you to all who helped me and an extra thank you to anyone who was personally involved including the two Teignbridge District Council guys who offered (and did) to take my bike home.

’They went above and beyond what could have been expected of them and all the help I received when I needed it shows you the kind of people we have living in this area.

’I have a complete blank space as to what happened to me but just want to thank all those who helped me and in particular the TDC people who were so kind to me.’

l Editor’s note: The Mid-Devon Advertiser would also like to thank all concerned.
