THE new series of the top rated TV crime thriller Broadchurch, has a Teignmouth connection.

It is being directed by Paul Andrew Williams, who went to school in the resort and still has strong local links.

The ITV show is filmed around the Bridport area of Dorset, and stars David Tennant and Olivia Colman, and is now into its third series.

Williams is also a writer and actor, and has been responsible for several popular movies over the last few years, including Song for Marion and London to Brighton.
