A 90-YEAR-OLD man was rescued by firefighters after his lift jammed in Teignmouth.

Firefighters released the elderly casualty from between the first and second floors of an accommodation block in Dawlish Road.

The alarm was raised at 7pm last night.

Small tools and a lift key were used to fix the fault at the property.
