AFTER four trips to Ukraine since the war began, Teignmouth man Trevor Buffery has a new mission, to help save a wildlife sanctuary in Ukraine.

The idea came to him when he visited the sanctuary first hand and saw the consequences of its closure for both the animals and the people who look after them.

Trevor said: 'On my last aid run in Ukraine we delivered much needed aid including a generator to a small animal sanctuary that is used for orphans ,disabled and disadvantaged children in Ukraine. Unfortunately, they have run out of funds to buy feed or pay vet bills.

'This sanctuary is so important bringing so much joy and happiness to all the children that get to visit, the lovely couple that run this sanctuary have already had to start selling some animals to raise a small amount to buy feed for the remaining animals.

'After my visit i was so impressed how this was run, getting to cuddle a raccoon myself and the joy it gave me as an adult i cant imagine how these children living in a war zone must feel.'
