EMERGENCY services were alerted to a three car collision in Dawlish yesterday.

The accident happened at the junction between John Nash Drive and Teignmouth Road.

Firefighters from Dawlish, along with police and ambulance, were called to the scene.

It was initially thought people were still in the vehicles but Dawlish firefighters were quickly on the scene and found all those involved were clear of the cars.

A spokesman for Dawlish fire station said: ‘ Our crew set about making the vehicles safe, by means of electrical shut down as well as putting warning labels on due to airbags that hadn’t gone off.

‘Whilst this was ongoing ambulance were tending to one of the people from one vehicle due to minor injuries.

‘A short while later our crews handed the scene over to the police to await the arrival of the recovery service.’
