Two into one doesn’t go…

There were traffic delays in Newton Abbot this morning (Thursday, May 13) thanks to a tight embrace between a towed caravan and a bus.

The tight squeeze twixt bus and caravan took place where the A381 Wolborough Street narrows and occurred just after 10am today leading to a backlog of delays in the area.

‘The two were well and truly wedged together, ‘ said one witness at the scene.

‘Police eventually closed the road at the A382 Wolborough road junction traffic lights, but traffic was at a snail’s pace around the town with some vehicles stuck coming into town on the A381.’

The pair were eventually un-jammed at around 11.30am today.
