THE NATION'S favourite locomotive passed through Dawlish earlier this evening (Thursday Oct 4).
The Flying Scotsman, double-headed by the LMS Stainer Black 5 44871, was en-route to an over-night stop in Plymouth before venturing west into Cornwall as part of a Steam Dreams railtour.
It’s the first time in 15 years that the iconic steam locomotive has been in Devon and hundreds of spectators and rail enthusiasts lined Dawlish cliffpaths, breakwaters, sea wall, bridges and balconies to catch a glimpse of the steam-powered crowd-pleaser
