A TOWN Council has said goodbye to it clerk following his resignation.

Ashburton Town Council has said goodbye to town clerk, Bruce Broughton.

A spokesman for Ashburton Town Council said: 'Sadly, due to personal reasons, as of today [March 23] our Town Clerk, Bruce Broughton has resigned his post.

'We thank him for his service to Ashburton Town Council and wish him all the best.'
