CHUDLEIGH is faced with a triple whammy of losses as Devon County Council tackles the problem of saving £110 million by 2017 because of government grant cutbacks.
The cuts are striking at the heart of communities across Devon and as the county council continues its consultation into the proposals, a special meeting has been called by the opposition to the ruling Conservative group for a full discussion at county hall on May 14.
The town faces losing its county youth service, social care provision and its library.
On Monday some Chudleigh town councillors felt the decisions were already done and dusted.
