TEIGNMOUTH Mayor Cllr Peter Williams and Mayoress Cllr Cate Williams were delighted to host a thank you evening at Bitton House
It was especially for invited guests to pay tribute for their invaluable contribution to the community.
The Mayor’s Recognition Award was presented to:
Will Burton – for 30 years of volunteering at Teignmouth RNLI. He is the lifeboat station’s senior helm.
Barrie Behenna – for more than 15 years of volunteering at Teignmouth RNLI, he is currently the lifeboat management group chairman.
Amy McCarthy and Sam Lock – for their outstanding community artwork including the popular TRAIL project on the seafront.
Keith Underhill – for services as chairman of the Teignmouth Traders Association and voluntary roles including marshalling for ParkRun.
The Mayor was also pleased to present the Alice Cross Trophy to Sheila Culpeck, who has been volunteering at the Alice Cross Centre since 2004.
Cllr Peter Williams said: ‘It gave me great pleasure to present these awards to members of our community who make such a positive difference.
‘I would like to thank everyone in our town who give their time and energy to help others.
‘Finally, I wish you all a Merry Christmas.’
