A COUNCIL has come under fire from traders for digging up Teignmouth Triangle at the busy Easter period.

Some say it was a daft time for the county council to replace cracked paving slabs around the fountain, just when the town was starting to come alive at the start of the season.

Catherine Kennedy, of Blue Indigo Gallery, claimed it was 'beyond comprehension' why the council believed it was a good idea to start relaying the Triangle at such a time.
