MOTORISTS were held up after a fallen tree blocked a road on the outskirts of Dawlish.
Reports came in that the tree had come down at Luscombe Hill at about 7am.
High winds overnight were thought to have caused the tree to come down.
The tree was understood to have brought down cables, possibly phone lines, when it fell.
Police and authorities were notified and the road was cleared by about 10am.
