LOCAL author Rosemary Griggs has won three silver medals in the Coffee Pot Book Club Book of the Year Awards for her novel of the life of Sir Walter Raleigh’s mother.

Rosemary said: ‘I’m thrilled to have won silver in each of these three categories

Women’s Historical Fiction; Historical Romance and books set in The Tudors, The Stuarts, and The Commonwealth of England.

‘To receive awards like this alongside authors I admire and respect for my very first novel means so much . ‘

There will be a chance to meet Rosemary in full Elizabethan dress when she’ll be signing copies of her book at West Country Books, 64A Queen Street, Newton Abbot, on October 12 from 11am to 2pm.
