ORGANISERS of Teignmouth in Bloom are hoping for record entries from green-fingered residents for the Queen's Jubilee year event.

'Along with our loyal regulars, we would like to see entries from homes and businesses who have not entered previously,' said the coordinator, Cllr Sylvia Russell.

'This year we would particularly encourage trade entries, to ensure our town is colourful and welcoming for the jubilee celebrations. I am sure the town will be very busy with all the events going on, and floral displays do make a big difference.

'All entries have to be able to be seen from the road or pavement. Easter is a popular time for planning gardens and we hope everyone will be rushing off to the garden centres to stock up for their red, white and blue displays.'
