BOVEY Tracey Heritage Trust is hosting an illustrated talk by the archaeologist of the Stover Canal Trust, Dr Phil Newman, on Tuesday.

Entitled The Archaeology of the Stover Canal, the event is being staged in the Phoenix Hall, St John’s Lane, Bovey Tracey, at 7.30pm, admission charge applies.

The photograph, taken by Karen Lang, shows the recently discovered section of the Haytor granite tramway near the basin of the Stover Canal at Ventiford.
