The UKIP candidate for Central Devon has predicted an easy win for the Conservatives. Bob Edwards said: 'I thought it was going to be closer than it appears, I think Mel Stride is going to walk it.' Labour candidate Moira Macdonald was not so clear about who might be triumphant but was clear about her own chances. 'We're not here to win and we've no count agents but we'll be interested in the result.'
