A LARGE crane was forced to spend a night parked up in Teignmouth after breaking down.
The vehicle, understood to have been used to transport materials to engineers working at Dawlish railway station, came to a halt in New Road, Teignmouth on Saturday.
Columnist Christina Siviter spotted the vehicle parked up on the road on Sunday morning.
She said: ‘I was told there had been a malfunction.
‘The vehicle had a safety cut out process so it had to stay there until it could be moved.
‘Apparently the staff had to be put up in a hotel overnight.’
