POLICE have seized a vehicle in Buckfastleigh that was found to have no valid insurance.
The Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing Team said the car was found to be in a ‘dangerous position’ in the town, putting other roads users at risk.
A spokesperson for the team said: ‘It was seized and recovered to prevent risk to other road users.
‘If you choose to take the risk of driving without insurance, we will find you – and you will lose your vehicle’.
It’s illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place without at least 3rd party insurance
The police could give you a fixed penalty of £300 and 6 penalty points if you’re caught driving a vehicle you’re not insured to drive.
