The festive spirit was boosted when Newton Abbot Town Council held its annual Victorian Evening in the town centre on Wednesday.

Despite the freezing weather, nearly 50 charity stalls lined Market Square and Market Walk with stallholders dressed in Victorian garb selling Christmas inspired goods.

This year, the Best Dressed Stall trophy went to Friends of All Saints Marsh Primary School, Newton Abbot. It received a cheque for £50 for its charity.
