A WEEKS long celebration of the humble village hall begins soon.
Action with Communities in Rural England’s ‘Village Halls Week’, which runs from January 23 to January 29, is a national campaign shining a spotlight on the contribution England’s more than ten thousand village halls , many of which are here in Teignbridge, make to rural communities.
It is an opportunity for hall management committees to celebrate their work and get inspiration from others.
Action with Communities in Rural England’s sixth annual campaign will look at how village halls can provide warm, welcoming and inclusive spaces - the charity will be sharing stories online and encouraging halls to host open days.
