FINGERS are crossed for local girl Beth Porch tomorrow night (Saturday) when she appears on Britain’s Got Talent aiming for a place in the final.

Former Dawlish College student Beth, now a nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital, will be singing one of her unique compositions on the BGT semi-final show when it airs from 8pm.

Her first performanc, broadcast back in April, blew the judges and audience away with a moving rendition of her original song You Taught Me What Love Is.

Alesha Dixon describing her as an "angel".

David Walliams said: "You’ve touched all our lives with that song."

He added that it was "staggeringly beautiful".

Amanda Holden continued: "You have such a difficult job – I don’t know where you find the strength.

Finally Simon Cowell, who appeared unusually lost for words, added: "Beautiful song – absolutely beautiful song.

"The lyric is so poignant.

"You are a great singer, you are a great songwriter, you are a great person, so you just ticked three boxes. Well done."

Beth, who received four yeses after her audition, became an online sensation last year when footage of her singing and playing ukulele to a three-year-old child cancer patient was posted on the internet.
