THESE six people are all standing in the Devon County Council elections for Bovey Tracey Rural.

GEORGE GRIBBLE (Con)

George was born in Bovey Tracey and has lived in the town all his life. A town councillor since 1973, he has been mayor seven times and has represented Bovey Division since 2009. An avid supporter of local youth and sports facilities, George served as chairman of DCC from 2014/15.

EOGHAN KELLY (Ind)

I have lived in Heathfield since 2005 and I have served as a town councillor since 2011. I currently drive a taxi locally. I believe in ­making a positive difference and I will be a strong truly independent champion for the ­residents of all of our communities. No party politics!

LISA ROBILLARD WEBB (Labour)

I’m angry at the ­erosion of our local services.  It’s unacceptable and unreasonable.  As a county ­councillor, I would have a clear and hopeful picture of ­progressing our communities – not diminishing them.  I’m keen to defend and advance local education, social care, health services, mental health provision and environmental matters.

ROGER HAWORTH (Green)

I’m strongly opposed to the current rightward shift in politics. Instead I support greater equality, development of renewable energy, more public transport, a welcome for refugees and migrants, and strong links with Europe. I want to be a county councillor to present a progressive alternative to the present Conservative domination.

SALLY MORGAN (LIB DEM)

Sally Morgan is a district councillor and a former teacher. She lives in Bovey Tracey with her husband and daughter where she runs her own business.Sally is an experienced and active community campaigner.  If elected she will listen and be a strong voice at County Hall for all residents.

JOHN WALKER (UKIP)
