THESE five people are all standing in the Devon County Council elections for Kingsteignton and Teign Estuary.
TONY DEMPSTER (IND)
A Kingsteignton resident of 23 years, elected as county councillor four years ago. If elected I would continue to support all the youth, sports and senior citizens’ clubs. I would continue to get improved road surfaces and fight to insist developers provide quality infrastructure to support new housing developments.
JAMES OSBEN (LAB)
I work for the NHS, and I have seen the effect of the cuts, first hand. People are suffering and it must stop. It’s the same in social care. I want to stand up for the needs of the people of Kingsteignton, and am determined to make a difference.
JENNIE OSBORNE (GREEN)
I believe strongly environmental concerns should be at the heart of all public policies, alongside the wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of society. I believe it’s important the radical alternatives the Green Party represents have a higher profile, and all voters have a chance to vote for Green policies.
RON PERT (CON)
A town councillor and currently mayor of Kingsteignton, Ron is the Conservative candidate for the Teignbridge Council by-election and is also the candidate standing for the county council elections. Ron has lived in Kingsteignton for over 32 years and will make sure the people of Kingsteignton are well represented.
DAVE ROLLASON (LIB DEM)
Dave Rollason is the Liberal Democrat candidate for the new electoral division of Kingsteignton and Teign Estuary comprising Kingsteignton, Bishopsteignton, Ideford, Luton, Teigngrace and Preston. Dave is a Teignbridge district councillor. In 2015-16 he was elected town council leader and mayor of Kingsteignton.
