THESE five people are all standing in the Devon County Council elections for Newton Abbot North.

CAROL ALDERTON (LAB)

I am committed to creating a fair and compassionate society, and I’m passionate about supporting the NHS, and improving health, fighting for the better funding and social care improvements we need in Devon. I will listen to and represent the constituents of Newton Abbot North with commitment and care.

JACKIE BRODIE (LIB DEM)

I am currently a Newton Abbot district councillor with a good record of achievement on behalf of residents. At County Hall I will prioritise the basics: care for the elderly, fixing our roads, protecting our environment, restoring school funding, getting our fair share of infrastructure funding and stopping wasteful expenditure.

PHIL BULLIVANT (CON)

Phil has a specific and costed agenda to deliver enhanced services and support for health, education, homes, infrastructure and employment to benefit residents. A district councillor with a strong voice for Newton Abbot North and a record of actions to deliver results. A man you can trust to deliver.

STEVEN HARVEY (UKIP)

We need affordable homes for local people. Only UKIP who represent working people understand the reality of low pay in Devon and what affordable really means. Jobs creation, rewarding hard work and promoting community spirit is my aim. I want the people of Devon to be proud, employed and safe.

MIKE HOCKING (IND)

An independent candidate, Mike’s only ties are to the people he represents.

He is a committed, dedicated and experienced councillor of 20 years.

A local lad living in the ward for 42 years, he promises to be the dedicated representative with a strong, caring, listening voice needed at County Hall.
