POLICE are appealing for the public’s assistance locating a man from Plymouth wanted in connection to an assault.

Matthew Tamplin, 33, is described as being around 6ft tall, with short dark hair, stubble, brown eyes and a large tattoo on his neck.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: ‘It is believed Tamplin is sleeping rough or in tents and has possibly been in the Central Park and Mount Wise areas. He is believed to use public transport, buses and taxis.

‘Extensive enquiries have been made to locate him and officers are now asking for the public to get in touch if they see him.

‘Anyone who sees Tamplin is asked to not approach him and to call police on 999, quoting reference 50250140382’.
