STRONG winds are set to batter the district today as Storm Eleanor sweeps across Devon.

A severe weather warning has been put out by officials at the Exeter-based Met Office.
Hard-hitting gusts of wind are expected to cause misery and disruption for motorists throughout the day.
BBC Travel SouthWest warned drivers: ‘Due to strong winds and heavy rain surface water and debris are possible on roads.
‘Driving conditions could be hazardous in places.’
The warning is in place from 8am until 7pm today.
