THE ever popular House of Marbles is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of summer events, including the unveiling of a brand new marble run, which took place on Friday, July 15.
Mayor of Bovey Tracey, Cllr Sheila Brooke, formally drew back the curtain to reveal the new bespoke marble run, which, like the others at the site, was made by Swiss artist and craftsman, Alex Schmid.
Elsewhere, the House of Marbles have launched a competition to win a luxury marble solitaire set; all one has to do is complete the challenge in the fastest time possible, simple, right?
Also, the House of Marbles, which began in 1973 and has clientele across the globe, have a special 50th Anniversary Afternoon Tea, which is served up on a chessboard, on offer until the end of year.
