SOUTH West Water’s presence in Dawlish has been immortalised in a stained glass window.
Award-winning stained glass artist Laura Kreifman has created a stunning work of art based on contractor John Cuddy.
John is one of the team working for contractors Envolve and Network Plus on the multi-million pound scheme to improve water quality and reduce the use to storm overflows in Dawlish.
For nine months, Laura passed John on her street every day – and every day, they said hello.
One morning, she spotted John perched high on the gigantic pipelines used in the project.
The contrast of his high‑vis jacket and orange trousers against the industrial pipework inspired her to create a stained‑glass portrait of John, using vintage glass and hand‑painted detail.
