IT WAS a spectacular start to Newton Abbot’s string of Late Night Shopping evenings.
Absent last year in the wake of government rulings, Newton Abbot’s Victorian-dress evening came back with a bang, entertaining revellers as they strolled from stall to shop hoping to find that perfect present.
Newton Abbot’s town development manager, Sally Henley, said: ‘There was a lovely atmosphere in the town for our first late night shopping evening and I was very pleased to see so many people out and about enjoying the lights and the atmosphere
‘Everyone missed the Victorian evening last year and so we were pleased to see a good array of charity stalls and some excellent costumes too
‘Thank you so much to everyone who helped.’
