A BAN on a Teignmouth man taking his wheelchair on a train has been lifted – thanks to the Teignmouth Post.
A delighted Timothy Mason, 49, said: 'It is brilliant news – I travel all over the country by train with my wheelchair, and it was a real blow when I was told I could not do it any more.'
He cannot walk and has been taking his mobilised wheelchair on the railways for years without a problem, until Tuesday, when a guard at Newton Abbot station said it was against regulations and he would not be allowed to board any more.
