A BUCKFASTLEIGH woman has been fined for possessing cannabis.

Charlotte Claire Diamond, aged 30, of Glebelands, admitted she had 0.9g of cannabis in Newton Abbot. She was fined £150 and must pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £34 to fund victim services.

No separate penalty was imposed by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court on a charge of failing to stop the Vauxhall Astra she was driving when required by a police officer. She had admitted this.

Diamond pleaded not guilty to charges of driving with an expired licence and failing to provide a blood specimen. Both these charges were dismissed.
