A WOMAN was knocked unconscious during a fracas involving at least half-a-dozen people at a Shaldon campsite.

Police and paramedics were called to the Devon Valley Holiday Village in Crownwell in the early hours of today (fri) to deal with the disturbance.

They found the woman unconscious on the floor near the reception area.

A 31-year-old man from Bromley in Kent was arrested at the scene for an alleged breach of the peace. He was taken to Torquay Police Station’s custody centre for further questioning.
