SMOKE from a wood-burning stove prompted a fire alert in Newton Abbot last

One crew from the town dealt with the chimney blaze shout in Salisbury Road just before 10pm.

Specialist chimney gear was used to extinguish the source of the problem after smoke was entering the property.
