A wooden bee house created by a Bovey Tracey-based firm has been shortlisted in the 2026 Gift of the Year Awards.

The wooden bee house is a finalist in the ethical and sustainable category of the awards, which will be judged at a retail and buyers trade show later this spring.

The House of Marbles said it has continued to focus on sustainability and reducing single-use plastic in its new 2026 range.

Last year, The House of Marbles’ Cheese and Crackers game won the best novelty gift at the awards. The firm has previously been shortlisted in the Gift of the Year awards with its Flying Cowpat disc, which is made from recycled plastic and chewing gum. It was also a finalist and received a ‘highly commended’ for its Sunshine Print Paper Kit at the 2024 awards.
