A PACKED Newton Abbot arts studio had to be evacuated on Wednesday and an industrial area cordoned off after a lorry struck a gas main.

The incident unfolded at The Music Mill, Bradley Lane, shortly after 11am with 20 youngsters and five members of staff having to make a speedy exit.
