BOVEY Valley Runners had 12 representatives at the Ladies 10k, organised by the Teignbridge Trotters.
The event boasted a new venue and route this year- starting and ending at Ipplepen Cricket Club.
Horrendous weather and a lot of puddles and mud along the route made for interesting conditions but it was, as usual, a very well-supported event with 235 finishers. The course follows various country lanes up and down Ogwell and Denbury.
A big well done to Emma Start who came 2nd in her age category.
Emma led the BVR group home in 52:15, followed by Laura Kilduff in 57:31, Sally Shoolbraid in 59:35, Sarah Forey in 1:02:08, Kirsty Pearce in 1:03:12, Rachael Motherwell in 1:06:31, Claire Harrison in 1:06:58, Sue Campling in 1:07:58, Jill Bishop in 1:08:59, Charlie Whitefoot in 1:09:00, Sally Mansfield in 1:20:14 and Rowan Kemble in 1:28:10.
This event was supposed to be followed by the Torbay half but the weather won out and this was cancelled.
