DAWLISH & District Indoor Bowls Club recently held its finals weekend, bringing together the culmination of weeks of competition across the club championships.

The club would like to thank all members who entered, as without their support and participation throughout the rounds, the competitions would not be possible.

In the ladies’ championship singles, Tina Rowe faced Debs Kettley. The match began evenly, with both players settling into the game over the opening ends.

As play progressed, Tina built momentum with a series of strong ends to take control. Despite Debs’ efforts to stay in contention, Tina maintained her consistency to secure a 21–6 victory.

The men’s championship between Trevor Lobb and Colin Parker proved to be a particularly exciting contest, played over two nine-end matches.

Trevor took the first game 14–5, while Colin responded to win the second 12–4, leaving the result to be decided on a tie-break. In a tense finish, Colin secured the deciding end 2–0 to claim the title.

In the men’s pairs, father and son Fred and Marc Baker faced brothers Richard and Dave Chappell in an enjoyable and competitive match.

Both teams produced some excellent bowls, with the game played in good spirit throughout. After a closely fought contest, the Chappell brothers ran out winners with a 19–10 scoreline.

Congratulations to all players involved, and to everyone who took part in the competitions, for contributing to an excellent and enjoyable season of bowls.
