Ashburton’s chase started disastrously with half the side out for 36 runs on the board! Arthur Johnson (3-16) was largely responsible.

Malan (24) and May (20) appeared to have batted Ashburton back into the game with a stand that got them up to 77 for seven.

Then it all went wrong again! Lewis Clarke (2-15) and josh Zimmerman (3-9) got into the bottom half of the order to send Ashburton spiralling to 84 all out. Their last four wickets went for seven runs.

Ivybridge remain on course for top-four finish thanks to this result. Ashes have a 25-point cushion between where they are in the bottom half and the relegation places.
