KENN dropped back into D West relegation danger following a ten-wicket pasting at Barton.
Barton had to win to stand any chance of getting out of the bottom two before it is too late – and are now just seven points from safety.
The team Barton have to overtake now are Kenn, whose third defeat in four outings left them in the relegation mix.
No one made more than Ben Chaloner (20) for Kenn in a meagre total of 136 all out. Best of the rest were James Gosling – 19 off 55 balls – and stand-in captain Pete Chislett (17no).
Barton shared the wickets around with two each for Devanshu Sinha, Sree Sankaranaryanan, Adrian Lipton and the ageless Dave Cadwallader.
Openers Adam Last and Lewis Crocker knocked off the runs in by the end of the 25th over.
Skipper Last made 85 not out – 16 fours and a six – and Crocker was unbeaten on 38.
