KENN dropped into the bottom two in the D Division West following a five-wicket home defeat at the hands of Barton 2nd XI.

Dave Cadwallader, 62 and now in his fourth decade as a Barton cricketer, took six wickets for 11 runs as Kenn were hustled out for just 109.

Take away the scores of 25 from Oliver Walter, 23 by Martin Swannell and 21 for James Gosling and there wasn’t much from the rest.

Adam Last (40) and Harry Shelton (28) steered Barton to a comfortable win, despite occasional interruptions from Kenn’s Graham Stone (3-25).

Torquay & Kingskerswell 2nd XI were below Kenn in the Saturday morning table but gained enough points from their defeat by Plymouth CS&R to trade places with the villagers.
